Aspen Updates March 21, 2018

TRIMESTER 3 HAS BEGUN!

Report cards were sent home in your child’s backpack on Friday, March 16.  Please be sure to look them over, talk with your child about their progress and sign and return the report card envelope to school.  One last trimester to go – finish strong Aspen!

ART SHOW AT THE ASPEN DRIVE (COOK MEMORIAL) LIBRARY

Congratulations to all of our Aspen artists who participated in the Art Show at the Cook Memorial Library.  Aspen students have done a beautiful job in Mrs. Foley and Ms. Dion’s art classes.  If you haven’t had a chance to visit the art show, drop by any time prior to Saturday, April 7 to see their beautiful creations.

Spring break officially begins on Monday, March 26 through Friday, March 30.  School resumes on Monday, April 2. Have a happy and safe spring vacation with your families!

LAST CHOICE TIME FOR THE YEAR

The last day for Choice Time is Friday, March 23.  Thank you to all our parent volunteers who have taken time out of their busy days to supervise Choice Time this year.  The students have enjoyed their time with you – we couldn’t do it without you!  A special thank you to Mrs. Amanda Burt who was our parent coordinator for Choice Time.  We sincerely appreciate your help!

ROLLER-SKATING IS COMING TO ASPEN PE

Roller-skating will begin in our PE classes for grades 2-5 on May 7th.  Permission forms were sent home last week and require a $9.50 payment to rent the skates.  Please send in the signed permission slip and money as soon as you are able.  You will find a copy of the permission form here in case you need another one.

LOST & FOUND

We have collected many, many coats, jackets, hats, gloves, water bottles, shoes, etc. that we have hung in our lost and found area.  If you are missing something, please stop by and check out our large Lost and Found.  We will be donating everything that is not claimed once school is over.
