Aspen Elementary wants to congratulate our staff who continue to apply for and receive grant money for classroom use. This list is always expanding, but here is the current news. We will update the list as more good news comes in.
Mrs. Szoke received a $100 grant from Adopt-a-Classroom and JCPenney. Mrs. Szoke can spend this on classroom supplies as she wishes.
Ms. Liberacki received $250 for Agriculture in the Classroom, State of IL Grant towards a farm unit in the spring.
Aspen school was awarded another Illinois School Library Media Association’s Reading for Reading for Information grant. Mrs. Heaser wrote the grant to support the new next generation science standards for 1st and 2nd grade. Informational ibrary materials will be selected in various formats print, digital, and audio. We are so excited to be able to support teachers and students with these new, age appropriate resources.
More good news will continue to be added. Several teachers are registered on Adopt-a-Classroom and other wish-list sites if families are looking for ways to support their child’s classroom.
